The purpose of this project is to successfully augment reality with an artificial agent capable of handling a constrained threat scenario utilizing motion tracking. In this scenario, the agent selected to carry forth these tasks will be the Microsoft XBOX KinectTM. Results should yield the ability to track motion in a simple fashion, calculate a depth distance, track vital points in a body, as well as recognize single or multiple agents contained in a frame. Respectively, to determine if an agent is a threat a proximity threshold will be established. If said threshold is crossed, a number of additional functions will handle the situation accordingly. The project will provide a relatively affordable security system that is physically robust, handles situations in real time with or without administration being present, and can be rapidly deployed.
