The purpose of this two-part project is to a.) Study the racial flux in professional aviation corporations and academic aviation programs in American colleges and universities and 2) Identify and assess factors related to inequalities and racism.  The first part of the study attempts to quantify the number of Near Eastern students studying in aviation fields in institutions of higher education in the Unites States. The second part of the study will focus on the number of students employed post graduation. Data will be quantified via the utilization of post graduation employment rates. Additional data will be reviewed related to opportunities available to students of Near Eastern background seeking a career in aviation. This data will be compared against a list of ten possible barriers for these students into the aviation industry and programs supporting employment.
