Description: The “blue economy” seeks technologically sophisticated, regionally appropriate solutions to ensure the health of our oceans and the livelihoods that healthy oceans support. This session focuses on emerging multidisciplinary areas of research related to the blue economy such as marine renewable energy, sustainable fisheries, blue carbon, and global change science.
