In abstract algebra, when groups are discussed, one studies subgroups
and ways to construct new groups. In recent years, embedding properties
of subgroups in a direct product of groups have been studied thoroughly.
While discussing a central product of groups, I will share with you recent
work done with undergraduates that characterizes subgroups of a central
product of groups, applications, and possible capstone projects.
