Description: The panel will present a bird’s-eye view of impostor syndrome; appreciative advising; persistent academic deficits; oppression, stratification and hyperconscious self-monitoring; self-representations and stereotypes; identity and self-understanding; and psychological colonization, among others; and in-depth explanations of stereotype threat, cultural and communication issues, and collectivism/interdependence versus individuality and individual achievement.
