Heliophysics is the study of the Sun, the solar wind and heliosphere, and the planetary magnetospheres that exist within the heliosphere.  Heliophysics is one of the four divisions within NASA's Science Mission Directorate.  In this talk I will provide an insider's look into this fascinating area of science and discuss why heliophysics research is so important for our space-based society.  I will also provide information about opportunities for students to get involved in exciting heliophysics research.
